In Chapter 2 of Walk Two Moons when Sal and her grandparents went on a trip to Idaho, I think Sal thought that it was a perfect opportunity to bring her mother back because a birthday is a special day. It gathers family together to eat foods, share the good and bad memories that you had spent together. In addition, a birthday is a celebration of life, so Sal wants to tell her mother exactly how she feels life is like without her. For these reasons Sal wants to bring her mother back on her special day, her mother’s birthday.
